NOTES: The pressure will be on troubled Bala Town to pick up three precious points when they host already-relegated Llanelli. The Lakesiders are winless since the split (one draw, three defeats) and have taken only two wins from their last third and they could well be joining Llanelli if they don’t start building momentum to chip away at the five-point gap that currently separates them safety.
Elsewhere, play-off outsiders Cardiff Met and Briton Ferry face each other at Cyncoed. It’s been quite a season for Ferry, who have already equalled last season’s league 32-point total. It seems unlikely – especially given Haverfordwest’s four-point advantage and recent strong form – but could Briton Ferry spark and go on a surprising late run? There’s something about them that makes it difficult for me to rule them out completely.
Former Ammanford captain Rhys Fisher is among five runners who will run from Ammanford to Afan Lido on Sunday in memory of Ioan Evans, ahead of the teams’ meeting this weekend. Fisher will be joined by Ammanford AFC president Rhodri Jones, striker Matthew Jones, former commercial manager Jason Pocock, and Morriston Town physiotherapist Richard Pelta, who will run the approximately 30‑mile route to the Marston’s Stadium. Donations can be made to the Jac Lewis Foundation and the Big Moose Charity. DONATE HERE
NOTES: Just to wish all the best to those running on Sunday. Despite being under the most tragic of circumstances, it’s heart warming to see clubs coming together like this and I hope they can raise a significant amount for such an important cause. Please donate, even if it’s only a small amount.
Meanwhile, the build-up continues ahead of Nathaniel MG Cup final with Barry Town’s Ben Margetson warning his side that showing too much respect to TNS on Saturday could be a costly mistake. (Cymru Leagues)
